Nataliya Mykolska, senior associate at Vasil Kisil & Partners, was appointed as a Country expert of the International Distribution Institute (IDI) on franchising in Ukraine. Ms. Mykolska joined the prestigious IDI national experts league taking into account her significant experience and expertise of advising on international and domestic franchising matters servicing both local and foreign companies.

IDI is an association that was founded in 2004 by attorneys and in-house lawyers of Italy, France, Germany and the Netherlands to develop and keep a network of professionals engaged in establishing distribution networks and in drafting, negotiating, and managing distribution, agency and franchising contracts. As for today, IDI unites about 400 attorneys, in-house lawyers, as well as scholars from more than 50 countries of the world.

The country experts being highly qualified professionals responsible for the information regarding their country, play a substantial role in the carrying out of the project, since their contribution (country reports, other information, possible assistance to users needing legal advice) is essential for making the IDI and essential tool for distribution, agency and franchising law practitioners. The country experts are chosen between attorneys specialised in assisting potential users in contractual matters and litigation, having specific experience in distribution, agency and franchising law. Currently there are about 40 country experts all together contributing to the work of IDI.

Earlier in 2005 Dr. Tatyana Slipachuk, partner at Vasil Kisil & Partners was appointed as a Country expert on agency and distribution for Ukraine.
