VKP's Managing Partner Oleg Makarov receives the “TOP-100. Best Managers of Ukraine” award
On Wednesday, July 15, 2009, heads of largest companies walked down the red carpet in front of “FreeDom” concert hall. They gathered for the “TOP-100. Best Managers of Ukraine” award ceremony that finalized the annual rating put together by “Ekonomika” publishing house.
This year Vasily Povoroznik, Editor-in-Chief of the TOP 100 Magazine, noted that it is this hundred of award winners that we have to thank for additional work places at the time of crisis and for cutting-edge business technologies.
Further on Mr. Pavoroznik emphasized the following: “600 participants, 35 industry-based ratings - selecting a winner was no easy task. However, this year only the most powerful and dynamic market leaders have been recognized. Instability in the country became an acid test for determining who had which skills and capabilities. The hundred best ones were selected by managers themselves in peer-to-peer reviews. Therefore, the TOP 100 rating is completely unbiased and independent.”
The nominees of the award were unanimous in the opinion that the TOP 100 rating is even more important these days, as it not only proves that the national business is on the go, but also gives the Ukrainians confidence in the future.
“It has been the seventh TOP 100 rating so far, yet this year it has been very difficult to determine the best ones. After all, one had to take into account the crisis in the country and how the managers chose to adapt their companies’ strategies to the surrounding uncertainty,” - the Editor-in-Chief of the TOP 100 Magazine added.
Oleg Makarov received his crystal statuette and an honorable diploma from Ukraine’s Minister of Justice Mykola Onishchuk. “As lawyers we deal with all the industries represented at this ceremony and therefore we are the first to notice new trends. So far, we heard a lot about the fact that during these hard times only the strongest have survived. Personally, I would like to wish all of us to unleash our talents and to lead the way to a harmonious development and a well-balanced growth,” - said Mr. Makarov in his acceptance speech.
