Mariya Nizhnik presents her program as the Co-Chair of the Chamber Legal Committee
Ms. Mariya Nizhnik, Counsellor at Vasil Kisil & Partners Law Firm has been elected as the Co-Chair of the Chamber Legal Committee. Mariya Nizhnik is an active participant of ACC Committee meetings where she regularly shares her extensive expertise in the antitrust law and commercial law.
Mariya’s knowledge and experience have become a valuable and useful asset for ACC members as well as for other foreign investors being active in Ukraine.

The program proposed by Mariya Nizhnik for work and development of the Chamber Legal Committee has the following priorities:
- Active dialogue with Ukrainian state authorities on the newly adopted legislative acts and to advocate for more business-oriented provisions of the latter;
- Improvements of the legislative acts to be in line with the current market requirements;
- Participation in elaboration, adjustment and effective implementation of the legal acts in the sphere of foreign investments;
- Drafting and submit ion of informational and analytical materials revealing position of the ACC regarding the most crucial draft laws on the stage of their consideration;
- Participation in seminars, forums and committees regarding most important legal issues;
- Interaction with public organizations and scientific institutions by means of engaging them to consultations and initiatives of ACC;
- To serve as a "bridge" between the ACC, the Ukrainian Government and other relevant governmental bodies;
- To liaise with various regulatory bodies in order to secure progress to international standards;
- To support and advance financial and economic interests of ACC members;
- To organize forums, educational courses that help ACC-participants make business contacts and negotiate, while staying informed about legal changes;
- To make the ACC Legal Committee a real forum for discussing legal problems by representatives of real business, not only by consultants”.
Reference: The Chamber Legal Committee was formed in 2001 as a forum of professional exchange among attorneys from both law firms and in-house lawyers of local companies. Members of the Committee represent a broad spectrum of legal professionals working in Kyiv.
