VKP’s Senior Associate Olena Perepelynska among participants of Vienna Arbitration Days
Vienna, Austria, on February 12 - 13, 2010. Senior Associate of Vasil Kisil & Partners Olena Perepelynska attended the Vienna Arbitration Days, the annual international conference.
The Vienna Arbitration Days is one of the most significant arbitration events in Central Europe. Vienna consistently ranks among world’s most popular arbitration centers and, thus, Vienna Arbitration Days traditionally gather leading international arbitration practitioners. This year, the conference was attended by representatives of 25 countries around the world.
Vienna as an arbitration forum lies within the constant focus of the international arbitration practice of Vasil Kisil & Partners as VKP’s attorneys acted on many occasions as the parties’ counsels and arbitrators in arbitration proceedings in Vienna, both under the Arbitration Rules of the International Arbitral Center of the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber (VIAC) and Rules of Arbitration of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC).
The conference focused on leading topics in the commercial and investment arbitration, including participation of state entities in the arbitration, impact of bankruptcy proceedings on the arbitration, use of ‘guerrilla’ tactics in the arbitration, and impact of financial crisis on the international arbitration, as a whole, etc.
