Oleksandr S. Mamunya joined Vasil Kisil & Partners in 2006.

Since 2003 Oleksandr has been practicing law in the areas of Intellectual Property (patents, trademarks, trade names, copyright and neighboring rights), Competition Law and Litigation.

Mr. Mamunya’s legal expertise includes litigation and out-of-court dispute resolution over a number of patents, well-known trademarks and trade names of many major Ukrainian and international companies.

Oleksandr is a registered attorney-at-law and patent attorney, member of Kyiv Region Bar Association, the Ukrainian Bar Association; he represents the firm at the International Trademark Association (INTA), the Ukrainian Trademark Association (UTA), he is a member of International Bar Association (IBA), International Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property (AIPPI) and the Legal Committee of Ukrainian Internet Association (UIA).

In 2010 Oleksandr Mamunya chaired the Intellectual Property Committee of the European Business Association (EBA).

He also actively contributes to the work of the EBA’s Agrochemical Committee, Health Care Committee, Consumer Electronics Committee and IT Committee, where Oleksandr’s experience and skills in intellectual property field are particularly demanded and valued.

Mr. Mamunya is working in close cooperation with the State Service for Intellectual Property of Ukraine and is involved in the projects for improving the mechanisms of intellectual property rights protection in Ukraine.

Oleksandr participated in drafting and perfecting a number of legislative acts regarding the regulation aspects of intellectual property relations in Ukraine.
Oleksandr always takes a proactive stand in the development of intellectual property legal practices in Ukraine through his involvement in numerous professional events.

The “Ukrainian Law Firms (a Handbook for Foreign Clients)” publication repeatedly acknowledges his expertise in litigation involving patents and trademarks.

World Trademark Review 2011 named Oleksandr Mamunya among Ukraine’s eight foremost legal practitioners in intellectual property law and praised his experience in patent litigation matters.
